LBSU 302 Week 6
Knowing what I know now about academic integrity, plagiarism, intellectual property, and alternatives to traditional copyright practices. It will make me more cautious when referencing someone else's work, being careful to give them full acknowledgement of any work I reference for my research.
LBSU 302 Week 4
My research topic will be on “Dilemmas Faced by Organizational Leaders.” To narrow down the specific areas faced by Organizational Leaders, I will explicitly search for ethical, moral, and legal dilemmas faced by these leaders. To eliminate the mundane everyday issues faced by a typical workforce, I will add “and not” everyday workplace issues.
To narrow down my research topic, I will be utilizing the websites that I learned about in today’s class, these sites will Include: http://archive.org/, http://openlibrary.org/, http://www.worldcat.org/, http://chapman.libguides.com/content.php?pid=58069&sid=699471.

LBSU 302 Week 8
This will be the first time I will be writing a
literature review. In order to write a successful literature review, I will first
begin by doing an online research on how to write a literature review and also
compare and contrast an annotated bibliography with a literature review.
What I have learned so far about a literature review is
that I should create a theme or viewpoint about that I discovered while doing
the research, summarize each item of
the literature appropriately according to its significance, compare and evaluate each item of the
literature, and provide topic
sentences at the beginning of paragraphs and summary sentences at the end
of sections to help the reader
understand what the main issues are.
My biggest “ah ah” moment during this course was the
awareness of all the resources available to me through Brandman. I have been in
college for some time and didn’t realize that these resources even existed, resources
such as the different databases, Google Advanced, and even though I have used
the Leatherby Library, after this course I now know how to truly unleash the
power of the Leatherby Library.

LBSU 302 Week 7
In
continuing my research, I will be incorporating the Leatherby Library,
Archive.org, and the EBSCOhost database. I will also be utilizing books dealing with leadership and business dilemmas, as well as researching statistical
data from major corporate companies on the issues faced by Organizational
Leaders in all fields of businesses. To improve my annotated bibliography, I
will go to "Purdue Owl," and reference their "Annotated
Bibliography Samples," to accurately document the sources I am
referencing.
After completing this “Annotated
Bibliography,” assignment I will have a feeling of accomplishment, while
feeling more confident in my abilities to research and construct a well-organized
“Annotated Bibliography.”

LBSU 302 Week 5
I’d like to dig deeper into the psychological aspects of
Organizational Leaders and how they apply mental fortitude to stay focused and
keeping a neutral perspective when in dealing with conflict crisis.
As an organizational leader on should have the ability
to maintain neutrality throughout any conflict situation, but at what point
does some organizational leader cross the line, or sway in a favorable
direction, when there is clearly both parties at fault.
The research data I’m hoping to find through my empirical
research is actual situations where an organizational leader fails at
mitigating an issue where there is clearly an equal amount of liability on
either party or parties in a conflict crisis.

LBSU 302 Week 3
To
narrow down my research topic, I will be utilizing the websites that I learned
about in today’s class, these sites will include: http://archive.org/,

LBSU 302 Week 2
My topic will
focus on “Ethical Dilemmas,” faced by “Organizational Leaders.”
The
areas that stand out to me in my future field that I would like to learn about;
is how to choose between the better good when in dealing with Ethical Dilemmas.
In
the field of “Organizational Leadership,” as a leader, conflict resolution will
be your best asset and should always be the first tool you utilized while
dealing with conflicts, while maintaining neutrality.
The
two areas that I would like to focus on are how to differentiate between “Legally
Right,” and “Morally Right,” then analyzing the situation and choosing the more
logical and ethical of the two.
Another
aspect of Organizational Leadership that I would like to learn about is how to
turn good followers into great leaders, and good leaders into better leaders as
well as good followers. It is important to leader to have good follower-ship,
because every leader was once a follower, and to lose sight of such good skills
could lead to abuse of leadership.

LBSU Week 1, Day 1...
My
experience in the past in regards to research was limited, but was somewhat
successful when done under pressure. I have taken several courses throughout my
college experience since, which has made me more successful in doing so. Such courses
included, English 103 & 104, LBSU 150A, and LBSU 300.
The
takeaway I would like to get from this course is how to be a more effective and
efficient information gatherer. Where I take minimal time to gather the correct
information and utilize it in an ethical manner.
